**IMPORTANT NEW COVID UPDATE**

Marla Vista Assisted Living & Memory Care Residents and Family Members:

We are pleased to announce that, following testing of our residents and staff this morning, we no longer have any active cases of COVID-19. As a result, we will be reinstating our open visitation policy, allowing all visitors within our communities. We kindly request that all visitors check in at the front desk and encourage you to wear a mask while on the premises.

We extend our gratitude to everyone for their patience and cooperation during the past week as we worked to mitigate the spread of COVID-19 within our community. Our collective efforts have been successful.

We will be discontinuing our weekly updates for the time being, but please be assured that if there is another outbreak, we will immediately notify all concerned via email, our Facebook Pages, the front entrance, and the BAKA website. For information on visitation precautions and restrictions, please consult our website.

If you have any queries regarding COVID-19 or our visitation policies, please email the Community Director, who will respond to you as soon as possible. We respectfully request that you do not leave phone messages.

Once again, we thank you for your understanding during this challenging time.

Sincerely,

BAKA Management Team

**IMPORTANT NEW UPDATE**

Marla Vista Assisted Living & Memory Care Residents and Family Members:

Marla Vista Assisted Living has been experiencing several cases of COVID-19 this past week. Currently, we do not have any confirmed or suspected cases of Covid-19 at Marla Vista Memory Care. However, to help minimize the potential spread of the virus, we are implementing our Essential Visitor Guidelines in both communities effective immediately. These visitation guidelines will remain in effect until further notice.

Residents not experiencing symptoms will continue receiving communal dining/activities and third-party services. However, if we continue to see an increase of positive cases, we may limit and/or suspend these services to help minimize any further spread.

All updates related to our Essential Visitation Guidelines will be posted to our Facebook Pages and the BAKA website every Friday, starting next Friday 01/13/2023. Please make sure to follow us on Facebook or review our website for the most current visitation precautions and/or restrictions.

If
you are planning on visiting your loved one, we ask that you please conduct your visit within the resident’s apartment only. Please see below for additional visitation guidelines that we are asking all visitors to follow until further notice.

Essential Visitor Guidelines:

  • The two (2) designated essential visitors may not relinquish this position to other family members or friends.
  • Essential Visitors may visit any day of the week between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. but may not visit during mealtimes (8a-9a), (12p-1p) & (5p-6p). These visitation hours include weekends and holidays.
    • There may be extended wait times for a staff member to answer the door and provide screening services if essential visitors come outside of the visitation hours.
  • Must be screened for symptoms prior to entering the community for each visit.
  • Must wear a mask at ALL times (including in the resident’s apartment)
