Xenia
Xenia was born and raised in Richmond, VA. After graduating high school, she had continued her education by attending technical college for English and Typing, at MCV Medical College Hospital. This is also where she worked pulling charts for doctors. …read more!
Bernice
Bernice was born and raised in Powers, MI. After graduating she went Northern MI College for Elementary Education. Bernice taught elementary school for four years and then worked at Montgomery Ward. She met her husband on a blind date, and she became a stay-at-home mom when she had her first child. …read more!
Irv
Irv was born in Red Wing, MN. When he was 16 he drove milk truck for a couple of years and then joined the Navy and served for over 4 years. When he returned he went to the University of WI for four years for the dairy industry. He then became a salesman for Johnson & Johnson selling milk filters to farmers and received many awards for his excellent sales skills. …read more!
Don
Don was born and raised in Oneida, WI. When he was 14, he helped his dad with his home building business. On the side he helped truck vegetables from their family farm to the canning company. When he was 22 he married Jeanne and they started their family. Shortly after he joined the Army and was stationed in Germany. …read more!
Jeanne
Jeanne was born in Green Bay, then moved to upper Michigan from ages 3-10, which is where she learned to play the saxophone. When they moved back to Green Bay she attended St Joseph’s Academy for three years. While there she got to play Viennese waltz’s with her sister accompanying her on the piano. Her folks then purchased Don’s farm in Oneida, which is how she met her husband. …read more!
Resident Spotlight!
Ron
Ron married his high school sweetheart 67 years ago. They met at a roller rink where Ron was a skate boy and they were also in the same high school. Ron worked in the TV business while attending college part time for six years, while raising four children. He always called himself a steeplejack because he would change light bulbs on 1,000 foot towers in his younger days. …read more!
Jim
Jim was born in Milwaukee, WI and moved to Green Bay when he was 13. After graduating, he started working for his dad building houses. In 1956 he was in a bad car accident and was in the hospital for a month. This is where he met Judy, who was working there as a candy striper (a volunteer who assists staff in the hospital) at that time. …read more!

Andrea is a resident assistant here at Emerald Bay. She was born and raised in Racine, WI. She has worked for home health care, assisted living, and a hospital before coming to Emerald Bay. She has two kids and a dog, Jack, who are her whole world. …read more!
